Outreach
When Zachariah saw the infant Jesus, he said, "Through the heartfelt mercies of our God, God's Sunrise will break in upon us, shining on those in the darkness, those sitting in the shadow of death, then showing us the way, one foot at a time, down the path of peace."
Jesus gave us the responsibility of showing others the way to peace. He said "…go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Jesus also said "As the Father has sent me, so I send you."
At La Croix, the "you" opportunity for missions has always been one of our guiding principles. La Croix has always been a church that is outwardly-focused. There are opportunities for service in our community, other states and other nations. As Jesus directed, all you have to do is go; the world awaits you.
La Croix Missions Council
La Croix commits 10% of our budget after apportionments to missions, both locally and globally. Our global missions are directed by a team of passionate volunteers who regularly review requests from missionaries and determine how the church's mission funds and volunteer resources can best be used. Please pray for discernment and clarity as God calls us to join him in his Kingdom work around the world.
