QUESTIONS

About God
Building relationships requires effort and consistency. Romans 12:12 tells us to be constant in prayer. God wants to hear our requests. In what way does this build upon our relationship with God? What does the fact that God wants to hear from us constantly say about who He is and how He feels about us?

About Me
Brett discussed the significance of reflecting and repenting in order to find joy. What are some specific things in your life that you need to own and repent for? Where is God coming to you in these circumstances? (example: Where is he coming to you in your anger, your anxiety, your jealousy, your lack of loving your neighbor, etc).

Community
God doesn’t require us to be thankful FOR every situation. He asks us to give thanks IN every situation. Can you think of anyone that modeled this concept for you at any point in your life? A person that seemed to find joy and gratitude regardless of the situation?

Mission
Who is a gift to you and in what way? Name them and find a way to let them know that you are grateful for their existence in your life.

Action
How can you be intentional about reconnecting with joy in prayer this week? Name some specific interventions to help get you jumping and rejoicing this week.

Father, thank you for the gift of life and everything that encompasses it. Let us remember to give thanks and rejoice in every situation. Let us also be a gift to others. We love you, Lord. Amen
