Our Mission

Over thirty years ago, a 28 year-old pastor and his young family were appointed to Cape Girardeau to plant a new United Methodist Church. There were no people and no buildings… but there was a dream. A dream to reach those no one else was reaching by doing things no one else was doing. A dream that is still alive today.

Since then, a lot has changed around here. But at the end of the day, there’s only one driving force behind every single thing we do. We want to see lives impacted by the love of Jesus.

What We Believe

While our worship style is contemporary, we are orthodox in theology. We believe that the ancient, ecumenical creeds accurately reflect a biblical and historical faith. As a United Methodist Church, we walk in the great traditions of the Wesleyan Methodist movements.

In short, we believe…

In God, the Father Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

In Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will
come to judge the living and the dead.

In the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen.
